On that day of autumn, the morning was clear. The sun rose at its usual time. Its blood red rays were making every object and the columns of darkness retreated in fear of light. Every peace loving who longs and dreams for peace, prosperity and protection must ponder over the causes of the social cancer of _______________. The main causes are mass illiteracy, abject poverty, long policies of the government, instability, desire to accumulate wealth and become rich over-night, lust for knowledge etc. Ethnic, social and regional diversities also breed the confrontation among the people. Feudalism, uneven distribution of wealth and lack of education and health facilities also pave the way to spread _______________ in a society. External factors like involvement of foreign agencies are also spreading _______________ in the country.
An elaborate system of control is needed to check _______________. An organized committee should be set up and provided with sufficient resources. Government Authorities, NGO’s and National Mass Media should also take necessary steps at their levels to uproot the graving menace of _______________. The accusers should be given exemplary punishments. It is only then that we can eradicate this evil from the society.
EARTHQUAKE IN PAKISTAN
On that day of autumn, the morning was clear. The sun rose at its usual time. Its blood red rays were making every object and the columns of darkness retreated in fear of light. The birds began singing to pay homage to the hunter of the east. The mountain and the valleys bathed in the flood of light. The wind whispered to announce the birth of new activities. The blacksmith, the carpenter and the daily labourers also set to their work. The children with morning shining faces were going to their schools. They were in knots and good many grappling with one another. There was zeal and fervour all around.
About 8:52a.m., the infliction doomed upon people. It seemed that the Day of Judgment had come. It seemed that heaven and earth had changed their places. Within two minutes mocking death eclipsed life. The rule of Death overtook the reign of life. All were stunned and dumb. No one could explain what had happened. There were cries of children and wailing of the women. The darkness of gloom spread on all side once again. The life seemed feeble before intruding death. The magnitude of disaster was unaccountable. Structures of cement and concrete turned to rubble. To reckon the damage was impossible. The whole country was death pale.
After sometime, T.V. bore the news that earthquake shocks were recorded on the Richter scale. The Punjab, NWFP and Kashmir were its victims. However, it was Kashmir that suffered the most. The intensity of tremors was so great that it did give people no opportunity to seek shelter. The strangle hold of death was so strong that the strongest were the weakest before it. It was a scene of death of inferno. The houses, colleges, schools and even the hospitals reduced to debris.
Those who survived were paralyzed to do anything. It took them some time to compose themselves. Nevertheless, they had to do it. Life and death are incompatible to each other. Where on state is, the other is not. They were alive, and not dead. The alive must bury their dead. The silver fountain of life sprang up under their breasts and nilly-willy they sang the song of life.
A wave of sudden sympathy for the victims arose throughout the world. The rescue teams arrived from all over the world. Every measure was taken to save the wounded. Field hospitals were established. Helicopters were used for rescue operations. Military contributed much in this respect. Nobody was behind in serving the humanity. All differences were forgotten. All were transformed into one race. The world became one village. Such was the scene that even death seemed death pale.
The whole nation showed unity to seethe and help the earthquakes. Their passion was worth seeing. The victims were transferred to different cities for hospitalization. Doctors did great job. The world was changing its horizons. The pulse of life was felt again. It was the start of their jounney. They had to go a long way yet.
